New Beginnings

Well, folks, I did it…. not only did I create my own website (with the help of ProPhoto and The Design Space Co.), but I’m also tackling blog posts in WordPress!! Somebody pinch me. You know when you accomplish hard, new things and all the sudden you think “I could totally be a rocket scientist”, yep…that’s me right now. Walking into this unchartered territory with my Saturday Night Fever strut straight KICKIN’!! Additionally, I’m ecstatic to share this session as my first blog post, because –well… these two are about the sweetest clients out there, and I’m just so darn happy for them!

For this engagement session, we waited until around 7:45pm over at Brushy Creek in North Austin to really get that beautiful sunset look. I think these two may have felt a little out of their element at first, but they trusted my crazy prompts and it really paid off… pick her up and spin her …yell “marshmallow” at each other …and other silliness 😆

I first met Jess and Chase, their GORGEOUS kiddo and AMAZING Lioness of a dog named Nala back at their newborn shoot, and it was wonderful for me to be the one to capture their son’s littleness and coos. Since then, every time we meet for sessions, it’s such a joy to see their family growing into their fabulous life.

That’s my hope for Carrin Lewis Photography… to capture my client’s different stages of life within their family and work. And maybe make a few sweet friendships along the way.
