The World Keeps Spinning

No matter your political views or who’s not wearing their mask today, I think we can all agree on one thing… this has been one hella year, y’all! From the new inconvenient ‘norms’ and raging words on social media to those ever lovin’ groundhog days (eye roll), I find myself wishing for ‘the good ole days’. Back when kids could blow out candles on their bday cakes …back when they could even HAVE parties to blow out said candles on bday cakes. And when I could go to a hot yoga class with too many people, and I’m all mad b/c someone’s too close to my mat. Oh what I wouldn’t give to have someone too close to my mat! I wouldn’t even care if their sweat beads fell on my side. Sweat on, sister! Forgot your deodorant …Breathe in that stank from my fellow man! I don’t even care anymore.

But seriously…when I see images like this, THIS is what keeps me sane and my heart full. Just knowing that our world keeps spinning and love is all around us. Mothers are loving babies, dads are playing legos with their kids and newborns still leave that sweet smell of heaven in the air.

If you are struggling today and just so happen to fall onto this random blog post in the middle of nowhere, this one’s for you. You are okay…WE are okay. Life is beautiful and full of joy and wonder. Turn off the news and your social for a while and go be with nature. As Anne Lamott says “Go outside! Look up! Secret to life.”
